Scientific Name: Vaccinium macrocarpon

Plant Family:  Ericaceae (acid-loving plants)

Description: Native, woody perennial, low-growing trailing vine with small green leaves that turn dark red during winter dormancy. Fruit is round with 4 locules or air chambers inside, allowing the fruits to float. Berries start as green, turning white and then red. 

Recipes

Cranberries are so versatile. We eat the berries fresh during harvest, no sugar added, and sip 100% Cranberry Juice right from the bottle. But if you are not a fan of the fresh, raw cranberry taste- or even if you are but want to try more recipes- start with the following, but feel free to experiment, and let us know what your favorite way to enjoy is.

Cranberry Mule

Add ice to copper mug or any drinking vessel

2 oz vodka

2+ oz of Beautiful Harvest 100% Cranberry Cold-Pressed Juice

Squeeze fresh lime juice from 1/4-1/2 a lime

4 oz ginger beer

Garnish with fresh or frozen cranberries

 

Cranberry Old-Fashioned

Place a sugar cube in a rocks glass

Add 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters

Muddle the bitters and sugar at the bottom of glass

Add ice

2 oz of bourbon or whiskey

2 oz of Beautiful Harvest 100% Cranberry Cold-Pressed Juice

Top with white soda or club soda

Cranberry Mimosa

1 oz Beautiful Harvest 100% Cranberry Cold-Pressed Juice

2 oz Champagne

2 oz Orange Juice

Cranberry flavored Water

Add 1-2 oz of Beautiful Harvest 100% Cranberry Cold-Pressed Juice to 8 oz of water

 

Make it Sweeter

Mix Beautiful Harvest 100% Cranberry Cold-Pressed Juice into your preferred sweet fruit juice (such as apple juice) to taste, and/or to your sugar content.

Cranberry Fruit Pies and Baked Goods

Beautiful Harvest 100% Cranberry Cold-Pressed Juice goes great in those other fruit recipes too, adding a nice touch of tartness that helps to balance out other fruit's sweetness.
